Just like the skin on your face, your lips also have different skin types, and the care they need may vary.
Dry Lips:
- Dry lips are a common problem, and they are characterized by chapped, peeling, and flaky skin. If you have dry lips, it means that your skin lacks natural oils and moisture. To take care of dry lips, you need to use a lip balm that contains ingredients like beeswax, shea butter, and petroleum jelly. These ingredients will help to lock in the moisture and keep your lips hydrated. You should also avoid using lip products that contain alcohol, as it can further dry out your lips.
Sensitive Lips:
- Sensitive lips are prone to irritation and allergies, and they require special care. To take care of sensitive lips, you need to use lip products that are free from harsh chemicals and fragrances. You can also use a lip balm that contains ingredients like aloe vera and vitamin E, as they are known to soothe and protect sensitive skin.

House Republicans To Vote On Bill Abolishing IRS And Eliminating Income Tax
Republicans in the House of Representatives will follow through on a promise and will vote on a bill that would abolish the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and eliminate the national income tax.
The House will vote on Georgia Republican Rep. Buddy Carter’s reintroduced Fair Tax Act because it was part of the deal between House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and members of the House Freedom Caucus to give Kevin the gavel
Carter said: “Cosponsoring this Georgia-made legislation was my first act as a Member of Congress and is, fittingly, the first bill I am introducing in the 118th Congress. Instead of adding 87,000 new agents to weaponize the IRS against small business owners and middle America, this bill will eliminate the need for the department entirely by simplifying the tax code with provisions that work for the American people and encourage growth and innovation.
“Armed, unelected bureaucrats should not have more power over your paycheck than you do.”
Rep. Jeff Duncan, R-S.C. said:
“As a former small business owner, I understand the unnecessary burden our failing income tax system has on Americans.
“The Fair Tax Act eliminates the tax code, replaces the income tax with a sales tax, and abolishes the abusive Internal Revenue Service.
“If enacted, this will invigorate the American taxpayer and help more Americans achieve the American Dream.”
“I support the Fair Tax because it simplifies our tax code,” said Rep. Bob Good, R-Va.
“This transforms the U.S. tax code from a mandatory, progressive, and convoluted system to a fully transparent and unbiased system which does away with the IRS as we know it.

In Part 1, we talked to Laura about Jonathan Buckelew’s “locked-in” case and the preparation that goes into a years-long case. Today, we round out that discussion.
Lloyd: Laura, you told me that Jonathan Buckelew’s case was one of the most impactful cases in your career. I’d like you to talk about it, how the trial went and how it impacted you.
Laura: When you have a catastrophically injured patient like Jonathan, you feel a great responsibility to that patient to get them justice. I certainly felt that burden trying this case. It puts a lot of pressure on you as a lawyer.
Half of my clients are wrongful death cases where the patient is deceased. This case was highly complicated and intellectually challenging for my team and me. We had to understand the medicine and then present the details in a way a layperson could understand.
I have read hundreds of articles about stroke and stroke care. There are a lot of different kinds of strokes, and the type in this case is probably the worst. One of the defense arguments was that this was such a bad stroke that no intervention would have made a difference even if our doctors had done the right thing. The difficulty from a lawyer’s perspective, we had to understand all of this and then present it simply. Lloyd, you help with this.
