It has been chilly here in North Georgia this week! I’m really getting excited about all the beautiful fall fashions. I just purchased these fall-themed corduroy pants today–caught them on sale.
I love, love, love the embroidered autumn leaves and acorns! Sooo dang cute! You’ll find them currently on sale here: Corduroy Pants for Fall.
During the winter, I wear a lot of corduroy pants because I find them so much warmer than regular jeans. Today, I thought I’d share a few outfits I’ve put together with two pairs of corduroy pants I just purchased a couple of weeks ago. When I purchased them, I bought them in two of my favorite colors for fall, a warm, rich brown and a winter white/cream color. There are so many ways to wear corduroy pants in these two colors.
In the photo below, you can see that this sweater would look great with either the winter white or the brown cords. I went with the jegging style for my pants, but they are available in these colors in both straight leg and jeggings here: Corduroy Jeggings-Regular and Curvy Style and here: Corduroy Straight-Leg Pants, Regular and Curvy Style
I shared the shoes last year and I don’t see them available right now, but this other style that I purchased around the same time is still available here: Sperry Boat Shoes. When I buy them in winter colors, I always buy them either 1/2 size or a full size up so I can wear them with my favorite merino wool socks.
The Coach dinosaur sweater is a purchase from last year. I specifically bought it to wear when I visit my grandsons, but truth be told, I love it as much as they do. Ha!
Another favorite of mine this time of year is Sperry plaid rain boots. I already have a pair in a brown plaid pattern and another pair in this same navy boot style, but in a different plaid design. These would look great with jeans! They are available here: Sperry Plaid Rain Boots.
Last winter I purchased this North Face hoodie while shopping in a sports store with my son. I was wearing white jeans that day and I could not get over how pretty it looked with those jeans! It looked almost elegant, which I know sounds crazy! There was just something so pretty about the soft gray and white North Face design with the white jeans. It’s incredibly soft and it was one of the first tops I pulled out to wear this fall when temps dropped. I purchased it in a medium size and it comes part way down over my bottom, which is how I like to wear my hoodies. (Hoodie is available here: Hoodie.)
Because I’ve so enjoyed that North Face hoodie, I decided to add a couple more to my wardrobe this fall. I was never a hoodie girl until just a couple of years ago and now I absolutely love them. I’m wearing one of these now, as I type this. They are just so incredibly soft, cozy, and warm! I live in them when I visit family in Ohio and I love the versatility of having the hood available when outdoors. Below I’ve paired them with black jeans but they would be great with blue jeans or almost any color of jeans or cords.
These are much prettier than they appear in my photos. I love the images! These two hoodies are actually from the men’s line so I took a Small size in these. The green hoodie has the image on the back and you’ll find it available here: Hoodie with Beautiful Image.
Here’s a close-up of the other hoodie. For this hoodie, they placed the image on the front. Both of these are just as soft, warm, and cozy as the one I purchased last year. You’ll find this one available here: North Face Hoodie and here: North Face Hoodie.
If you’ve been reading BNOTP for a while, you know I love Fair Isle sweaters. I usually add a new style to my winter wardrobe each year. This one came from L.L. Bean either last year or the year before. You can see this year’s selection here: Fair Isle Sweaters. I have it paired with the winter cords shown earlier in this post. The winter boots are from Jack Rogers a few years back.
Again, the corduroy pants are available in several colors in both straight leg and a jegging style here: Corduroy Jeggings, Regular and Curvy Style and here: Corduroy Straight-Leg Pants, Regular and Curvy Style.
The cream-colored turtle neck is from Orvis here: Turtlenecks. I’m not sure if they still have this exact turtleneck in stock since I purchased this one a few years back.
The beanie with the furry pom-pom was purchased in Germany on a Christmas Markets Tour. I found similar cable knit hats here Beanie Hats and here: Cable Knit Beanie.
Just to show the versatility of winter white corduroy pants, I placed a few more of my winter sweaters across the bottom. The Ralph Lauren Sweater is available here: Ralph Lauren Flag Sweater. The Fair Isle sweater along the bottom is from J. Jill. a few years back. The pink and oatmeal-colored sweater if from Orvis a few years back.
I just saw this flag sweater today in the men’s section and I love it! I’ve purchased Ralph Lauren men’s sweaters in the past and found that the men’s XS fits really well. That’s what the bear sweater is in the photo above. It was a Ralph Lauren “Singing in the Rain” men’s sweater that was available a few years back. I stalked it until it went on sale. This flag sweater below is in an Aran knit design and is made of silk, linen, and cotton. That sounds wonderful–I love that mix! I’m definitely going to keep my eye out in case it goes on sale, although it may sell out before that happens. It looks so good with jeans! You’ll find additional photos of it here: Flag Sweater.
